right guys I got this 1980 mx 111 and its been restored but not built, well my mate came round the other night and went mental when he see the thing hanging on my wall and he wants me to sell it to him but Im unsure of a price as its very rare that they come up for sale, so come on boys wots it worth ???

Pretty sure the MXIII is 1982/83 dude as it was made in Japan and released just before the Series 3 Framesets came out with the Red/Yellow fade decals  :daumenhoch:

Ya should get decent money for it though  ;)

If you look at the Redline site it explains that in 1980 they made the first batch of mx 111

and the reserch ive done confirms its a 1980

Does that serial not make it a 1990  :shocked:

Always thought that redline serials where alphabet linked ie A = 81, B = 82, etc etc  ???

Or have i missed something with the serials and did they go to c0ck  :laugh:  :buck2:

Just had a look and you may be right about it being an 80  :daumenhoch:

I was using the serials for USA built bikes which seems to be fcuked too  :2funny:

I would say it has to be later than 80 cos the mx2 was still on sale in 81?

think these were the first jap made frames if ya look on the bmxmuseum or Vintage and search Redline serial your see, oh and all the serial numbers are right f....ked up.

Put it on ebay  ;) , it'll find its value on there .
