Did you know these are being re issued and will be available soon...
-
No, but I'm not surprised, everything seems to be getting re issued ::)
I have been looking for one of these for quite a while now, so should I buy a re issue, or not :-\
-
Don't like re-issued stuff I would hold out for an original one all day long :)
-
Will there be any difference though? The new silver/nickel chains don't really look any different to the old nickel ones to me.
-
I doubt there'll be any difference :-\ the silver chains never stopped being made did they? ???
To be honest, I'm quite glad about this, because I've seen these top £100 for a decent used one :idiot2:
-
I don't think IZUMI ever stopped making chains... I have a trade catalogue in front of me and the black, gold and silver are already listed. The new silver/ black ones should be between £15 and £20. Certainly a lot cheaper option that finding an original. Especially if you need to plough the money in to another part! ::) I don't think you would ever tell the difference. Even the packaging looks the same! IMO
Cheers

not good for collectors that own original ones :(
-
Sweet, gonna get one of these when they come out 8)

That's a real bummer, as i paid £115 for a NOS one off ebay in june 2010 :uglystupid2: I still cant believe i paid that for a kids bike chain to this day :idiot2:, my Raleigh Extra Burner cost £110 back in 83 . How mad is this hobby, i couldnt afford high end bikes then & nearly 30yr's later i still cant afford it really. But i still find a way........some how ::)

I don't think it will affect it - because the NOS silver/ gold Izumi chains that people put on builds aren't 'NOS' - they never ceased production.
