Title: Some good hubs and rims?
Post by: lk_97 on February 26, 2012, 08:39 PM: I'd like to build an old school custom wheelset, nearly got some campag record but outbid in the last second :tickedoff: :2gunsfiring_v1: so what are some nice hubs and some nice rims?

Post by: stidds on February 26, 2012, 11:25 PM: Think outside the box with hubs, you can use any kind of 36h hub from bitd, such as racing bike or track hubs. You will have to convert the axles from Q/R to solid (track) axle.

Look for names such as Normandy, Maillard, Sansin or Sunshine, Resilion, Sturmey Archer, Airlite etc etc.

I love hubs, they are my favourite part of a build.

Interested in the record hub mate :daumenhoch:, lost out on a pair yesterday, although, will it be hard to find a rear one?
