Title: My fail of the day
Post by: Jaymz on February 26, 2012, 08:44 PM: wanted some black 9/16ths pedals so hunted around the shed and found a set of fooked 9/16th wellgos all the pins mashed and ends tattered and a set of victor bodies with no axels but in good shape, so axel swap was the order of the day followed by a couple of coats of satin black.

The procedure went well, no bearings lost axels fitted, smiles all round, gave them a couple of coats of black that i found in the shed and jobs a good un

until. . . . . . . . .

I went outside to put them away after baking in the sun all day and realised they were still sticky, but not just sticky they were rubbery sticky, odd goopy sticky.

Daft fooker has just sprayed a set of pedals with black car body underseal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :idiot2: :idiot2:

Post by: rollin72 on February 26, 2012, 08:49 PM: im glad its not just me that does stupid things like this, I painted a pair of dx's and thought i'd bake them in the oven, the grease still inside the pedals smoked out the kitchen..she was not amused :crazy2:

Yup i can see myself doing something like that. I have another hobby other than BMX that involves seeing how many times i can set the smoke alarms off in the house!
