Title: Why Repop?

I'm probably in danger of a "what is a looptail" scenario here but...


...why do we use the term Repop?



Isn't it short for Reproduction? Shouldn't it be shortened to Repro or something similar?

I await your abuse.

Re pop is resuming production of products. Only the original maker can do this, otherwise it's repro.

Ahh, that makes sense. So my confusion is based on other people incorrectly using the term Repop when they should (in many cases) be saying Repro?
