Title: chrome removal

Took my F&F to get powder coated white and they said they are not sure they can remove the chrome.

Told them it was chrome in first place !!

how do you remove chrome ?

bury it in soft peat and leave the worms a tasty treat.


i think chromers can remove it, or have it blasted, but to be honest a decent powdercoaters should not be worried aboot a bit of chrome.

rulers powdercoter will powdercoat over dogshit and make it come out squeaky clean.

powder coat goes over chrome fine

just degrease it and flat any rough spots

powder goes over all.

either that or take it to a chrome platers and have em stick it in the acid bath...

frosts do a kit to remove chrome,nickle etc quite expensive but would pay for itself in no time

seriously, to powder over a chrome frame, you dont have to remove the chrome

my man is a chromer he puts mine in costic acid a puts a power charge in the tank and it takes the chrome of.
