I got woken up at 8 this morning with a stinking hangover and the Mrs going of her head, screaming about bike parts all over the house ::)...
...normally i'd come back at her with a smartass answer about her shoes, bags, coats and make-up everywhere, but today I have to take her point :-[
There is, a set of pedals and a pair of valve caps on the bedroom window sill,
a Tuff wheel in my wardrobe
a set of handlebars in the spare room wardrobe
my complete Firebird Freestyler in the lounge
my complete Skyway Streetbeat in the lounge
various brake cable inners and outers on the 2 seater setee
2 tyres at the side of the setee
a Z rim hoop down the side of the sofa in the conservatory
a set of pedals in the kitchen cupboard next to the iron
a set of calipers on the chest of drawers in the spare room
a packet of spokes on the dining room table
a boxed freewheel on the dining room table
and a packet of cable end crinps on the dining room table also
anybody else suffering the same dilemas? :daumenhoch:

Think you need a big new shed Dan!!
Bru :daumenhoch:
Trying to sell the house Bru, i've started to shift bikes to the shed at my Mum's. :daumenhoch:
-
I'm a lucky SOB as I only keep BMX related clothing and memorabillia in the house, everything else is stashed away in my warehouse which is off limits to her :LolLolLolLol:
-
Get her some flowers and a meal for 2 from M+S Dan that will sort it...well it worked for me when i got back home after being working away to open several boxes of bits then spread them out along the kitchen work tops and the conservatory table too....oh and then had some bits to send out and didnt have time to sort before i was off away again so she had to sort sending half a dozen packages out...bless her shes a keeper :smitten:
-
no. i actually have some regard for my loved ones !! :LolLolLolLol:

you're a rare breed brother. :LolLolLolLol:
-
well i try to confine it to the kitchen, garage and bedroom for loved bits!! :LolLolLolLol:

Dan, I live in a 2 bed flat, under our bed I have 3 big boxes of parts and 3 framesets, 2 complete builds in the bedroom, parts on the fridge freezer, the dining table and 5 sets of tyres on the wardrobe. I have all my tools filling the floor space in the fitted wardrobes and my build going on in the kitchen.
I really don't know why they complain. It must be time of the month buddy :LolLolLolLol:

They're just mental and don't come with manuals or an off switch, she's soon complain if I was gambling my cash away or sticking it up my nose or p!ssing it away. >:(

my wife is lovely & very tolerant to all this bmx shite, the only thing she objects to really is the amount of time I waste on Rad
she does have a very good point though, which is partly why I'm on here at lunchtime ;D
best thing you can do is understand that you will never really understand her and just accept it, hopefully the picture below will help to explain
(http://etherealmind.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/man-woman-knon.jpeg)
I'm still not allowed any more than 3 bikes though
-
She's not too concerned about my time on here, as the computer and TV are both in the back room/conservatory area, so even if i'm on here and she's watching the soaps, at least we're in the room together. :smitten:
Having said that, I have to look at babe of the day when she's gone to work. ;)
-
babe of the day could be a home wrecker in many homes !! :LolLolLolLol:
-

Can't fault my wife when it comes to bike parts, i have stuff in about 4 rooms and she doesn't say anything, i've even got my latest build in the front room at the moment and not a word. :4_17_5: :4_17_5: I think she likes looking at it.
-
My Missus is well on side (at the mo!). She evens wants me to build one for her. That's a green light in my eyes to crack on. It's amazing how many bits have arrived since she asked that aren't right for her 'special build'.
Oh well :daumenhoch:
-
My Mrs is cool with all the stuff (Bike/Fishing/Car) at the moment but then it is spread out between our old house/My Mums/where were renting now and work.
You want to really pi$$ her off wipe ya spam javelin on the curtains after bumping uglies and shout "back of the net" as you crack open the tinny you've got stashed under the pillow :daumenhoch:
-
My Missus , don't mind my bikes i have 8 downstairs .. She didn't like the one in the shower over Xmas and wasn't happy about the 80p wooden spoon should found in the BMX room
Black from Dying grips ;D Oh and the 6 tea towels covered in grease ..
Apart from that She Want's a hot heart ( because of the heart ) But they are really hard to find as people keep making them in2 Kuwi's :knuppel2:
-
Dan, sounds like a right sh*t hole, sort it out fella!!! :2funny:
-
At it's worst I had 13 completes in our bedroom and parts all around the house. If you got the space agree to have a room each that you can do as you please in.

Dan you'll never sell the house with all them bits lying round ...... unless you sell to another radster..... your missus may include them in the sale :LolLolLolLol:
-
Dan i can offer a house clearance service but to be honest i'll only take BMX gear fook everything else :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
-
the way to do it is keep all the bike parts clean ;) she can't complain about dirt then and then just say they are Art that you collect and worth money in the end ;)
two bikes in the lounge and one in the bedroom + boxes and skyways under the bed - loads more at my mums place :D
oh ! and the there's the boombox /ghetto blaster collection - there small as well ;D
-
you have my sympathy mate.....
some myears ago I had the same, due to having 6 bikes in our utility room, 4 in my kids bedroom, 2 in our room + 5 more in the dining room, plus another 7 or 8 in the loft,... and then there was the shed.... :crazy2:
oh sh!t and another 5 at my mums house ;)
only got 3 bikes now, and less magging :LolLolLolLol:
-
All my parts are clean B, they're mostly repop's so never seen a bike. ;)
It's her fault anyway, she wanted to buy the bloody house in the first place back in 2007, I didn't know that I would get back into BMX and become addicted in 2008 did I? ::)
-
showed my wife a Hutch donut and said it was worth money - that led to 2 hours of talk about selling my bmx's and stuff as it's money ???
well why don't i get rid of all eveidence that i was ever in the house - sell all the things i love and just work as a slave :tickedoff:
now there's passion for BMX :smitten:

I've had that too, i've shown her stuff on eGay with 20+ bids heading into 3 figures, straight away she's said, 'have you got any of those', it's the only time she's shown an interest. ::)
-

:LolLolLolLol:
i didn't think my request'd be taken that way...
i've been trying really hard for the last few years of living with my missiz to keep my obsessions organised.
so have got a lot of stuff hidden in plain sight, which is a technique that seems to work well at the mo :D
i just wanted to see someones living room full of bmx stuff with their other half trying to watch strictly come dancing or summat.
