so what TT length?
20.5", 20.75", 21" or 21.25"
cheers I.A.
-
Depends what you like, my Alone is 21", my pork is shorter at 20.5", both are dead comfy to ride, I am 5'10 & 3/4.
If it were a race bike, I might go longer, as thats what I like, but for ramps, no more than 21.
Here endeth the lesson.

You looking at a new school then edwardo ???
-
FPMSL - whee did you get the platform socks from Ed?
But seriously, you had the longer TT on the chrome Sport and didn't like it., so why change the green mean machine? You 360'd it last week so try doing that on a 21" TT......
I only ride a 19.5TT but the head angle is very steep so don't forget that in the mix.....

If platform socks existed I would not be able to buy any as you would have brought them all.
I had 2 Sports and I kept the best one which is why the other went. Surely its not the TT length that affects 'spin' ... its the short back end that helps you if anything... and you should know about short back ends :daumenhoch:

...anyhoo
So if I'm used to old school bikes and 19" TT then I might as well get the 20.5 yeah?

Cheers Pete :)

And mine is 21" if you want to have a go :daumenhoch:
-
& I can throw my 20.8 into the mix ;D
should have a front brake on next time I see you as well :daumenhoch:
-
And if I get my arse into gear you could try my Fit Eddie v3 with a 21" TT - but feels more like 21.5" with the layed back seatpost angle. So no use for a tester for ya anyhow :)
-
I've got 12" you can ride anytime big boy, but the head angle is important too (as I keep telling my missus).....
All ns have the tight backend so you need to try Pete's and Rob's first. I'm gonna guess you will be better off on the 20.5" though as you're used to the os 19" Sport.
Oh, don't do it by the way...... Is the gren machine holding you back do you think?
-
I'm not doing anything... I am but a leaf on the breeze.
-
I've got 12"
;D
the only way you're going to give anyone 12" is by making love to them 12 times
don't be downhearted though - it's not about the size of the boat, it's the motion in the ocean :-* :daumenhoch:
-
I can only assume any previous conquests told you that line then Griff? Even PeterJ can't sit down after i've been round and made him feel special, and he's got the saggiest ring on Rad.....
What you up to Ed?
-
5ft 8, have 2 race bikes both 21" :daumenhoch:
-
20.75" or 21" given your height Ed
Like Dan says 20.5" won't feel too long jumping straight off an os bike... :daumenhoch:
If you make it to one of the Blackpool sesh's mines 20.5" feel free to have a go... :daumenhoch:

Ed my Colony is a 20.75, You welcome to try next time I venture north. I still have that Fly bikes F&F that's a 20.5 but not built up to try. you can buy it for £30 though.
My race bike is a 21.25, Although that has a 40mm stem on it.

Lenny says 21" like you to keep the wheel base... I'm still thinking shorter and going for the 20.5 :-\

Ed, there's lots of other things to consider but I'd strongly recommend you do some reading into BB heights too.
TT is personal preference much like every other dimension. A mate of mine who's 5'6"ish has always ridden 21" for example. Some lads with back trouble will run shorter TTs and bigger bars.
Lot's to think about. Next session, grab a ride of everyone's bike.
