CCA are logged on to one of the other forums at the moment...... :-\

paul that does all the polishing on our bits can no longer put the physical labour into making our parts mint before they get anodiced due to back problems, (95% of the work is prep) he says he will finish off what he has got then thats it... :'(
real shame but dont blame him tbh...
then its all D.I.Y polishing and off to your local anodisers.
-
Looks like Ive missed my opportunity to use them...
This is most unfortunate...
-
Yeah me too !!!!! Anyone use anyone else ??

you could try colour annodising in radcliffe, they do all the annodising for my wife's company, do a cracking job. don't know if they will do odd bitds, but i've seen their work and it's top notch.

they will do odd bits, but there start price is £85+vat, even if you have only one part to do, and they dont do any polishing....
there is another company in heywood, about half a mile from the track that are a lot more reasonable with there pricing, but again wont do any polishing...

Polishing is the fooking easy bit, you need a few wheels and a decent spinner and a few soap bars and a bit of common sense, it's owning a decent amperage variable dc power supply and various tanks of acid and die etc that's the tricky bit.
There must be a few companies that will do the job.
-
We need another supplier
-
I'd set it up if I thought it would pay.

now theres a thought.... been getting a bit bored with work lately....
-
You'll need a unit, can't be having those chemicals and fumes in your home.
I've thought about doing it before.
I could set up a chroming and annodising shop. Had a look at what's needed. It's not cheap, I wanted to set up black chrome or krome as its called as well as regular chroming and anno tanks. It would take a few grand to set up, I was worried that the amount of work wouldn't be enough.

There is big demand for this type of work . I just dropped some stuff off at the chromer and he can't even look at them for 6 weeks
-
My brother in law owns Yorkshire plating, they do hard chroming and galv.
He's offered to help me set up the chroming side, he's done show chrome(triple plate) and anno in the past.
I've been looking to do something else for a while, i'm sick of being a sheet metal worker, bores mr to death.
-
Have a go John ! What have you got to lose
-
About 8k :-\
-
I will pay the 8 k . You do the graft . Split the profit ?
-
Have a go and if you get a decent-ish size unit you could still do abit of sheet metal/fab work if you have your own tools.
-
And you can be tanned to match your hair..... Awesome
-
There's a member on here that already has all the kit to do this, I'll nudge him to get something going ::)
