Ive wanted a set of these for a while now and these arrived today, just need to change the axles and a light polish and these beauties will be like new. Spoke marks are virtually non existent. :smitten:

Just got to build a high end 85ish bike around these now. I did have in mind a JMC Andy Patterson :smitten: but open to suggestions
Cheers
Adam.

One of my favourite hubs :smitten: ........ Not that i'll ever get to own a set ;D
Cool those Adam :daumenhoch:
-
when you say ''just got to build''. do you mean your actually going to build a bike yourself finally? ??? ???
now that is a thread i would love to follow!! :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Oh ! how Camp Adam :-*
they will look sweet with a polish and in the sun 8)
-
Best hubs out there to spend £400 on :4_17_5: and not just because they're 400 quid. Good work pal :daumenhoch:
-
If your gonna do an Andy Patterson it needs graphite tuffs :daumenhoch: and not one of "your" seats :LolLolLolLol:
Lovely hubs by the way :daumenhoch:
-
Cool hubs Adam,lucky boy.. ;)
-
:smitten: :smitten:
-
best way to polish them is to remove the axle and bearings and put the axle back in and just pinch it up so one end of the axle sticks out more than the other
then put the long side of the axle in a drill and spin it up in a cloth with t-cut and it will come out stunning :daumenhoch:
-
Very nice :daumenhoch:
-
Love them hubs :daumenhoch: you sure you need to change out the axles ..? have you tried them for size?

Yeah, I saw one recently with Graphites and it did look good but a little bulky for that sleek frame in my opinion.
And if I was lucky enough to land an AP a checkered Shotgun ll wouldn't be going anywhere near it. :daumenhoch:

I presumed as they were for road bike they would need changing but someone else just Pmd that question too so maybe not. :-\
I'm taking them down to Steve tomorrow so I'll let you know. :daumenhoch:
Cheers
Adam
PS: Anyone got any other suggestions for a suitable build for these hubs?
-
yeah they look like mine did before i sold them and they fit :daumenhoch:
Changa maybe 8)
-
Got Sonlites going on a Changa if I get one.

Sorry Nomira owners but just not my cup of tea.

Hang your head in shame :knuppel2: :knuppel2: :2funny: Nomura cruiser then ::)
-
What about a nice torker?
-
GJS Big Tube ? 200 made so nice and rare will will fit into your high price range too ::)
-
The Big Tubes shockingly enough are even uglier than Nomuras. I need something slender and sleek to match these slimline dainty hubs, not some big ugly thing. AP is still top of the list so far and finding the AP bars will satisfy my need for rarity. :daumenhoch:

Was talking to brummie about this yesterday. Prob the only build I'd do now, but I'd have to find the bars too... Not an easy task though :-\

something like this then, fully loaded with ESP stem, sonlite hubs, triton pedals, etc etc etc..

Good work Tel, they look beautiful. :smitten:

Adam ,
You may need to alter/mod them slightly to get the 110mm rear width , just check out what they are currently . In road/track bikes it's normally slightly wider but if they've been fitted in a bmx before then should be fine ;) . If they're show build only then you could remove some hardware ( cone washer ) to get the desired width ;) .

They were not intended for BMX at all but people started putting them on their bike just because they are rare and fookin cool, they are a Track hub so I wouldn't want to ride them on a BMX to be honest. Steve told me that the first time he saw a set on a Bmx was on Flannel Camels Changa :smitten:
Adam
-
i agree danny, road and track hubs.look good but weak as piss for a bmx.
-
Loads of hubs were modified for BMX from Road bikes bitd :daumenhoch:
-
before bmx specific hubs were made which these aren't. :)
-
Just look for a bloke with forceps marks on his head... That'll be Adam.. :daumenhoch:
