Title: Black shimano DX pedals original finish piccys needed please

I want 2 restore a set and have some good ideas but wanna c the finish first . are they a Matt/Satin finish or gloss ?

Dont ever remember them with the word SHIMANO been highlighted.

Funnily though buddy, it was only the Black ones that were done that way. All the other colours were annodised/painted over on the lettering. I think they saw the Black ones as there flagship pedals  ???
