Sorry but another "what bike" thread as I know feck-all about ns bikes. Guys down my dirt jumps seem to think that WeThePeople is a safe bet complete bike.

Son is only 11 (nearly) but, clearly I want something that I can ride :daumenhoch: and Im 1.74m.

Im keen to go second hand; looking at ebay and it looks like I can get a £500 Versus for £200ish. My son thinks he wants a new bike..

ta for any suggestions or pointers..

Post by: Sink on March 27, 2012, 12:39 PM: You can pick up some gems now and again on e-bay, keep looking and something will come up. I missed a near new Fit bike co inman, which went for £98!! A few WeThePeoples for around £180, just keep on looking.. I bagged a KHE Maceto ST 2011 for £110 it's got a few chips in the paint work, but its a nice bike.

the KHE Root 540 is a lovely bike but, a BIN for £250 seems a bit too much for this 2011 model; a new 2012 can be had for £320 delivered. Im really looking for something that is in great condition (like your link) but 50% of the current new price. Looking through historical prices on ebay, I think 50% is about right with some items going lower.

But time will tell..

The guy said it was like new. Unfortunately, it is far from new and quite scratched on the forks plus a bit on the frame. To be honest, I feel pissed off with myself for not walking away as I collected it, paying cash. Its still a very good price for the bike but I feel bad for my son as we all know what 10 years olds are like and how they like shiney stuff.. He'll be home from school shortly so I will see.

Thanks. Yeah, it feels very different - first time for me on a NS bike. Saying this, my shoulder is feck'd so all I have done is painfully rolled around the garden, but even doing that, you can feel the OS/NS difference plus, the brakes are ACE!!
