Just a quick one - bolts and there threads - the blue drip dot - stop lock or ?
just looked and i see stop lock is red ?
it's for the bolts on my calipers - they do come loose and i just thought that stop lock would do the trick
so what do i need ?
cheers B ;)
-
i think the blue stuff is some standard factory application on legit parts as on cars!
-
A bigger allen key... ;D
Joking aside, i could do to know the answer to this :-\
-
Blue is standard lock tight. Red is super tough shouldn't come undone lock tight. Only use red if you don't want really undo the bolt again as it will more than likely round off. :daumenhoch:

cheers discopoo ;)
so do halfords sell it ?
-
They do it here if you get stuck finding it :daumenhoch:

was looking to go buy it in the shops as i need it for sunday and you how some places can be a bit slow in getting stuff out in time
so is there a popular make to look for ?
cheers B ;)

Where abouts are you bendy?, they have quite a few stores dotted about :daumenhoch:
Interesting place for a good rummage too ;)
-
Better still PM me your address and i will send you a couple of sachets in the morning. Got a couple spare at work :daumenhoch:
-
Go raid the missus' make-up box and get some nail varnish. Let it run round the threads and hey presto, threadlock right now :daumenhoch:
-
You want LocTite medium threadlock, that'll do ya.
-
I've used car touch up's in the past.
Never had an issue with them coming loose though
-
these bolt were bought separately and used instead of short bolts - but they don't have any blue lock on them - the braking caliper is just making them come a bit looser - so hence i need some
oldschoolace - i will just have a quick look in the shops first but thanks for the offer mate - might have to take you up on it yet ;)
-
i never bother with owt, just fooking do em up and bobs your uncle ::)
-
they have shown that they have come loose already and brakes have no flick back :D
-
Removable brake mounts suck >:( as the others have said get some Blue semi permanent thread lock in there.
-
Picked up some in my local DIY store - hopefully will do the trick or it's gonna be a stop every 1 mile to do back up ;D
