Title: Vincent Frames Freestyler II 2012
Post by: vincentframes on March 30, 2012, 09:09 AM
Ok guys - here it is, the Freestyler F&F's we built and brought to MK11 was built up last night by me, Paul Hudson and Adam Dudley...few components we're going to need to change/ tweak over time to be 100% happy with it but the main thing was getting it built up and ridden!!

argghhhhhh I can never post pictures for some reason!?! so you'll have to click the link....
https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=424548887559462&set=a.116146035066417.21909.115989468415407&type=1&theater

I can't tell you what it means to have built this from scratch, like nothing - we only had a mark1 freestyler to work from (for a bit), the rest was done from studying photos and having a brililant CAD designer in Adam and an awesome metaler (!) in Fleck and working it all out with our heads...so I hope you all appreciate how much hard work has gone into this beauty!

Can't tell you how proud I am - huge achievement all round by the VF crew - could not be happier  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Thanks for all your encouragement and interest watching us progress with it over the last year - hope you like it as much as we do  ;)

Cheers,
Katie

p.s I was asked already today to just name my price....so you know it's NOT for sale!

Do you mean that it's being sold or that the first frame isn't being sold at all?
When can we order these things!  :'(

I think it looks amazing Katie  :) ... but Dan is 100% right.. those tyres need a tan wall IMO  :daumenhoch:

That is super sexy..  I prefer the MkII over the MkI.  If I was working or had a crazy rich g/f (or b/f) I think I would seriously consider treating myself to a MkII..

Anyone know what the expected deliver dates on these is?

ta,

Paul

Not everyone's going to like it...especially as everyone has their own opinions on colours, components etc but we've built it as a replica of the original Freestyle Team's bikes that they demoed with BITD. As I said there are a few tweaks that will take place over time, the main thing is it needs to be RIDDEN!!

I couldn't be happier, or prouder, of what me and my boys have achieved  ;)

This one is not being sold, it's the one we built for ourselves and to use as a template going forward - hope we can take orders in the near future but building it up has thrown some other techie issues up that we need to sort - you just don't know til you do it!  The main thing before being able to take orders (for those who'd like one) is getting it right, I hope you agree  :daumenhoch:

Cheers,
Katie

Well I think you have done an amazing job and it looks great and I would be interested in buying a Frame and Forks and bars.

Top work you should all be well chuffed how it's turned out.

Hi Katie

How many of the MkI and MkII did you produce BITD?  Im guess the MkII was quite limited numbers seeing as they are massively rare today..  Indeed, the only original MkII that I know about is the one that you were lent as a copy guide.

I would love another Vincent to go with my Airzone..

Paul

'I couldn't be happier, or prouder, of what me and my boys have achieved'

That statement alone sums up the whole purpose behind the project, those who have followed your progress over the months and who chatted to you @ MK will fully appreciate the love and hard work that's been put in.

Hey Paul, no idea how many were made as there are no records and dad doesn't remember a damn thing!  But the boys are quite adamant that the team who demoed only really had these...although one guy recently posted on f/b saying he thad one, yet to see photographic proof of this yet, but would be bloody brilliant if he did! Cheers, Katie.

You've done a cracking job, it looks spot on, what direction are you going with it..is it just for collecting or for being ridden hard?
