Had a bit of a looking for new spots on internet search today...
Delighted to see 3 very nice looking parks within 10 miles from where I live.
Orford & Victoria Park in Warrington, both look big, open & curvy / flowy. Irlam looks like a decent 'ordinary council park' with the addition of a massive wall ride.
Looking forwards to getting out and riding em very soon.
Is there anyone local who rides these parks?

Been victoria park a couple of times, it gets busy and keep your eye on your stuff ;)
Been Irlam once, it's ok loads of quarters set up as hips, was fine if you ride right foot forward but if you're a lefty like me you'll be riding against the flow, for that reason i didn't like it :(
Got a flat n all.... >:(
Never been Orford, think it's a fairly new park?

I'll prolly be doing early morning weekdays, 2 hours alone with the sunrise, birdsong & pensioners walking their dogs (at least until I get a bit better), though I do keep an eye on my stuff anyway. ;)
I think Orford only opened last year. Looks similar size / style to Victoria. Maybe a bit less rampy / more flowy.

Orford looks worth a look :daumenhoch:
You'll have to get yourself to the lock in's at Blackpool, an evening with like minded old farts on kids bikes ;D

I intend to, as soon I won't embarrass myself... Hopefully won't be too long.

What Bruce said, don't worry about what you can/can't do on yer bike, enjoying yourself is what it's all about :daumenhoch:

I know, but seriously, I've been riding for a week after a 20 year break. At the mo, my riding's at the standard of the 10 year old's who got bikes for Christmas (just trying a much wider variety of tricks, and working 1 or 2 ramps constantly instead of seat sitting and following their mates round the park).
Two months of early morning park practice on my soon to be new bike & I'll be ok again. ;)

Also found out about Atherton / Hesketh Flecther park. Went this morning, looking a bit run down but would've been fun, if the rain hadn't rained.

Tried Newton today. Nice & spacey but metal ramps were a bit damp. Will try again on a sunny day (once school's are back).
Then tried Orford, more of a street layout, lots of low banks, could be ok, but not many bmx size transitions so I didn't stay long.
Ended up at Ince, my local, for a good hour before the rain. Actually a decent kid riding with very clean airs, helped me learn disasters. :daumenhoch:
