Title: Toploader
Post by: ron burgundy on April 11, 2012, 09:10 PM
I'm after a new stem to jack my bars up. It's for my race bike, but I'm not interested in a race stem as they are machined to fook, are full of holes and look shit. What I am interested in is a high quality, solid stem with a wide clamping area.

I was thinking F-it S4 or BF, or Profile Push. Is any one using any of these? any feedback?

At last  :daumenhoch: The Challanger was on my list and then I checked out the S4, which is the updated design by Aitken. It's got that big, solid, I'm harder than your Latvian drug dealer look to it. Reassuring.

BSD looks ok, do they have a wide clamp area?

No idea on the width Bren?

For me it'd be the challenger, bit weighty compared to some others but it won't let you down  :daumenhoch:

I'm using a profile push, along with slams and I love it, but on my race bike I'm running a profile acoustic front load and grand slams, both set ups rock.

The push stem is simply stunning

Cheers, I'm using the Profile 40 stem at present, but I've flipped it to give me a bit of lift. I could do with a tad more height and don't want to fit huge bars. The Push does look good.

Yeah as I runnin grand slams a top load would make it too tall but with slams the push stem is stunning

If I could post a pic from my phone I would. But I'm at work so will post tomorrow

Betts is right.

I run a BSD race stem on my rider. I'm 6ft and 14st and it's never budged once. light too.

got to be BSD Race or FIT BF or S&M Challenger.
