a load of kids rode past my house today probably 6-7 of them the last one in the group was on a mk1 super burner it looked in fair nick, was still gold and even had pads on it. that's 2 old bikes i've seen in as many weeks ;)

Hey. That's superb!!! :4_17_5: That really takes me back! That was THE best Burner by a mile. Great spec and cheap as chips bitd. Love it, love it, love it. I have some gold v bars for sale if anyone fancies em. ;)

Only joking, superb bike. Looks like it just left the Raleigh factory.
I remember poring over the Raleigh catalogue in the early 80s, wanting that bike. It was the ultimate attainable bike - the Pro burner was simply out of reach costwise.

It is a beaut. both restored burners look better built than they did when the come out of the factory.
