Hi folks,
got this a while back - from GAz. :smitten: Been using it as a rider and I love it.
To say it looked was a little sad was an understatement, one break lug had snapped of and the frame was half stripped.
I was unsure how to paint the thing. :-\
kept changing my mind on colour so I decided to clean it up and burnish it a little.
New bits fitted... 14 mm s&m forks, challenger stem and primo seat.

I have sealed it with gun oil, because it dries fully and protects - I hoping as I apply more it will add more tone. :D

I do like.
Gun oil you say. I'm thinking of stripping my RV and was wondering how to protect it. Other than a clear coat. How did you burnished the frame?
-
looks great
lots better ;)
-
wire brushes in a drill, but only tickling the surface - then wet and dried it with 1000 grade, not using water, using WD40.
A clean with a cloth and then on with the oil. ;)
-
what year/model is that sid ?.
-
::) - its next generation mate - so I think 97ish.. :-\
what do you think anyway! :knuppel2:
-
Yes Sidney
I'm liking that.
Who did the Decals?
just needs a medium-big seat pointed upwards like Concorde landing and it will be there.
When we next seeing you Brother?
Keep the the one and only Faith. L

Like that Sid - so you lopped off the remaining 1&1/2 lugs - belting idea :)
Love the MK1 DB decals on the raw frame - always wanted to try that gun blueing on one......
Only thing (and it's just me) is I'd swap out that gold Profile Imperial and bang on something raw alu :daumenhoch:

Looks awesome...
A sturdy frame that, but you've made it look like a sleek machine. Don't know if it's the finish/decals, the frame pad or whatever but it looks great. Good work.
-
very nice Si - now let's see you out on it :daumenhoch:
