sr stamped and the shaft is black not chrome
the copies fetch decent dough though, i sold a geunine one a couple of months back with the genuine bolt for 40 and have seen the copies go for up to 35 on here

I know the first gen mallets were made by SR but I'm pretty sure GT started having them made in Taiwan for later models. There are really bad fakes out there but are the later Taiwanese mallet stems considered to be fakes?
