Title: Recent Ebay related thread
Post by: stfc on April 23, 2012, 12:00 PM
Did I see a thread on here a while back where a member on here bought a few parts in the for sale section and then whacked the price up massively on Ebay or was I Dreaming ...

Wasn't it this fella:

http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=7496

Think Pickle popped up a post about his buying here in the messers section but it appears to be gone now. Think he knocked people down in the sale area claiming they were for builds, then up on eBay they went.

He really hates these kind of threads - can't think why.   :10_2_12:

The thing is there are plenty of hypocrites amongst the 'older members' that do exactly the same with buying, selling and making profit........but when someone gets a nice score, breaks it up and sells for a few quid profit they get slated by them!

And then in another breath you get PM's of em asking on the parts!   ;D ;D

Firstly...you need to do some maths....4 times the amount....and its on best offer.......???

Secondly...the sale also now includes crank, chain ring bolts and tyres.....

Lastly......i also had the power disc stripped and polished and have spent time cleaning the frame and forks.....

And i didnt buy it to make a buck, i was going to build it but circumstances have changed and i need some money.....not that has anything to do with you like.....

I reckon if something is bought from a member with intensions of building BUT your circumstances change and you need a few bucks, out of courtesy the item in question should be offered back to the original seller at the same price UNLESS work has been done on it  :daumenhoch:
If they dont want it back the on fleabay it goes bumping up the price 4 times!!

It is annoying but I am only annoyed with myself because I should have have been more savvy and put them on. The aeros were won fair and square and then re listed for more money. The blue stem and chainring, he offered, I accepted. I have the worst track record for buying high and selling low.

The package didnt even come with a headset! I have tried 2 different headsets in it and they didnt fit? Explain that?

Dont try riggle your way out of it....you sold a frame with a fooked headtube.....knowingly!

You can call me all the twats under the sun.........it doesnt excuse what you did!

Ere, not adding fuel to the flames, but even if it did have a fooked headtube, why did you not mention that when you listed it up for sale on eBay?

Shame you passed without telling me you'd passed though. Common courtesy to let people know. Stupid really because I  will never deal with you again buying or selling. I did get warned about you by another member but gave you the benefit of the doubt. I am not getting drawn in to an online argument about this so take it as my final comment.
