Title: Out of the loop ....
Post by: YGT on May 03, 2012, 11:24 AM
Just a quick question,
whats the market like for old parts now?

I literally have a ton of bike parts I need to offload.
Basically I worked in the industry in the past, followed by a collector ... followed as a seller .... taken a break for a couple years now.
But the place where I have kept my collection and stock is now being sold and I need to shift most of it.
Problem is I am based in Stockholm, Sweden.

That makes shipping individual items pricey and uncompetitive on many bits.

So I am looking for any dealers who are interested in buying a good van load of gear.
Any ideas?

Cheers

While I have a rad supporter site tag I don't want to get into trouble for soliciting commercial services.
As while they may be my collection, there is also a fair bit of shop stop I hold also.

In regards to a list, its going to be a tough one ... simply because of the sheer amount of gear I have.
I might be able to get some video footage by my phone if it helps.

And while I am sure I will be able to let a few bits go, bit by bit (which I expect will be mostly from my own personal collection)  .... I am really looking for someone to offload the lot to.
As for example I have things in plastic boxes ... like a box of sprockets can hold a good 150 pieces and i have at least 2 or 3 boxes of sprockets.

Another example is I found a box of Standard byke co seat posts from 97 .... I am guessing there is at least 25 posts in that box.
I literally have lots of stuff, with a fair few gems mixed in for good flavor ....

So does anyone know of anyone trading in this sort of stuff today?
As I just don't have the time of possibility to do it myself.

Cheers

The site i am afraid is lost ...
At the time I had a better computer and internet connection.

Basically assigned up for some commerce site to try it out ..... and found they didn't bill me.
Which was all good as the monthly cost was nuts and outweighed the actual sales.
But after 16 or so months they cottoned on and cut me off without any notice or site backup.

If i was you i would take the time and ebay it piece by piece for maximum dollars or if you don't have the time or inclination to do so take pennies on the dollar and sell it in one fail swoop.

You aren't going to find a better time than now to offload mid school items.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

Actually yes, if you don't mind buying 4 at a time.
I have some 1" freestyle frames "tuckers" that I could do for £48 each (shipped to one address).
So if you are interested, and can either put up all the cash or find 3 other buyers ... just say and I will add the pics to the flikr account.

Cheers
