I've had my eye on a Dirt Bros Industries Patriot for quite a while now, but aside from one offer from a friend of a friend on here (which was sadly outside my budget) and a few chats with Vic Murphy himself way back in the days of Myspace which unfortunately never came to fruition, I've had to make do with an occasional roll around on shine's Patriot (when he wasn't using it as a ski bike!).
Anyway, I spotted the following on a friend's facebook page and got chatting about it. A few months later and I'm in a Park N Ride car park (not as dodgy as it sounds ;)) about 8 miles outside of Belfast picking up the following:
DBI Trail R Park frame! It's not the Patriot, but hey, I am stoked!

(I picked up both the DBI sprocket and the DBI stem on here in separate sales over the past few years and put them away).
Now time to get the build started :) I've a few other builds here which are partially completed, and this one will probably end up the same way for a while, but it'll get there, eventually! :)
I'll keep you posted.

Nice score, there was a patriot on the bay, both myself and Lenny missed the end of the auction and it sold for a steal of a price

No Way! £39!
I've a few searches saved on ebay, but unfortunately the Birt Bros spelling in the listing would've made it go unnoticed :( hopefully someone on here got it!? (edit: just checked it out on ebay - buyer was US based. looks like it's gone back across the pond...)
Lush ring
I've got a 30T version of the sprocket on my current ride as well, it's beefy!

I was considering building it something like this:
http://bmx.transworld.net/21025233/features/bike-inspection-dirt-brothers-vic-murphy/
(http://www2.worldpub.net/images/bmx/content/images/old/standard/02/bmx1819.jpg)
But when I saw how good the paintwork is (and the one downtube sticker and headtube badge), it put me off painting it...

Keep the red fella. A few battle scars just adds to the provenance.
