Title: Curtis Freestyler on ebay
Post by: bruggers100 on May 08, 2012, 09:39 PM
What a price

Couple of things:

1. Frames only were £400 back in the 80's.  I (sorry, Mum & Dad) paid £130 for frame, forks and headset - brand new.

2. The serial number starts 'FREE'. Mine did aswell.  Shame I didn't keep a record of it so i could check to see if the same as my old one.  Seller states it must be a promotional F&F.  Mine camefrom the local bike shop !

Amazing what people write to get a sale.

Looks like he's going to get top money for it (if he doesn't get blown out)

bidding looks odd
2 bidders with lowish ebay count  might be newbies getting carried away or a touch of shilling maybe from a mate,,dunno.

:LolLolLolLol:  £400 in the 80's......  :LolLolLolLol:

And also "i HAVE INSPECTED THIS BIKE WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS AND IT HAS MARKINGS ON THE REAR DROP OUTS SHOWING IT MUST HAVE BEEN BUILT UP BEFORE IT CAME TO ME"

Hang on a minute, did you not earlier say you got it NOS and raw, then had it painted?  Get your story straight

They make a great clothes horse for your wet socks too  ;)
