Title: what bars to use on my dp firebird
Post by: dj-paul-c on May 08, 2012, 11:04 PM: i cant decide what bars to use on my firebird freestyle
(wanting to put sensibly price bars on as this will be a rider)

im thinking either
skyway ez
cw straight top tube bars
or amaco freestyle with the duel brace

any thoughts ?

The Ammaco bars are a little shorter in length but never rode on them :)

Post by: punkdSICO on May 09, 2012, 02:29 PM: I'd say anything BUT EZ Mk1 (sorry Mr P..). The MkII look great but the Mk1 just dont look pleasing to my eye.

Here are my Ammaco bars verses the DP bars (the look pretty DP-esque..)

btw, I do find that the Ammaco bars hit your knee when riding - the ladder bit stick out far too much. Not really a problem as like most of these things, you get used to it and just change your style a little..

Don't use CW Pro bars as they are fookin ugly things.
The Ammaco looks the nearest if you wanted them to look like DP bars though and probably the cheapest i would have thought.
