Title: 890 - 1020
Post by: Gary72 on May 09, 2012, 07:48 PM
What's the difference ? Is it size? Has anyone got pics of both side by side?
I've got an 890, But having trouble finding another. Loads of 1020's on the bay

the numbers refer to millimetres reach.

Gaz it's reach from the cetre fixing to the end of the brake block slots .

Same number refer to all breaks ,, that's why you need a MX1000 for a PK Ripper because a MX900 is too short to reach  :daumenhoch:

Yep, been through this a few times but an 890 measures 89mm from centre of spindle to centre of brake block in the furthest posititon. So a 1020 is 102mm, an MX1000 is 100mm and it also applies as you get smaller so a 610 is only 61mm (used for minis with 1-3/8" rims).

I've also had a few 1080's which I imagine would really help out out you Ripper builders..... Thinking about it, it was Ash who had them off me...... ;-)
