Title: SR seat clamp overhaul
Post by: Gary72 on May 09, 2012, 08:19 PM
Been after a SR seat clamp for my Torker. Ended up buying a polished one off ebay. Gave it a roughing up with some wet/dry. Masked off the top. Coat of primer. Bake in oven. Rub down with fine wet/dry.
Coat of plasticote satin black, No masking tape this time. Another bake in oven. Then fine wet/dry just on the top to remove black and leave SR and JAPAN black. Run the clamp in one direction a few times across the wet/dry front to back and hey presto.

Didn't take any before pics. Sorting a MS-422 stem at the moment aswell. I'm enjoying the restoring side of things at the moment.
