Title: New joiner
Post by: Goonio on May 10, 2012, 08:51 AM
Good day all  -

Great site !

I've joined up as I have a found a project to do...

This should be a bit of a challenge as it has been sat uncovered  in someone's garden for 8 years and everything is stuck, the seat is not  too comfy either.

One dilema is what to do with the frame - it's be easy to send it off to the blasters then get it painted however I'm tempted to try to
rescue what's there by somehow cleaning it up then laquering over the lot - opinions, advice or pointers on this topic would be appreciated

Cheers

R

Thought I'd post a progress report pic, there's still a bit to do mainly fiddling around till the mechanicals feel right and the wheels are dead true. Decals are proving to be hard to source but I may just leave it as it is..

I liked it in its old trashed state. I have a general lee and its paintwork is fooked, but i love it, it used to belong to someone that could ride [unlike me] and every scratch tells a story
