I'm doing a cheap resto, on a Dyno Compe for the kid.
I've had the frame, forks and bars de-chromed, and there's a couple of dinks that need sorting before powder coat.
So the question is can I use a bit of body filler to blend them out, and will the power coat stick?
If not what can I use? I don't want to waste Dans time!
Cheers :daumenhoch:

No.
All repairs must be metal finished. With braze or silver solder etc
This is due to the high temperature that the oven works at when baking the powder. The filler will just burn off. :daumenhoch:

I don't think ya can fella but I maybe wrong, but how about a few blobs of weld and grind them flat?

i'd go with the above, and put a dab of weld then smooth them down. that way you'll never have to do them again. plus even if the powder would cover it, the filler would be blasted away when the frame is shot blasted prior to being powdered.

Ok cheers guys.
I know a man, that's knows a man who is a welder, and I'm sure I can pay him by the pint!

Actually not true, I have used with good effect metal fillers on frame that have then been powdercoated Metalfil is one such filler.
