I've got money burning a hole in my bank and I dont know what to build.
I had recently fallen out of love with OS builds and I'm still not sure I've got my mojo back for it, I've been wondering about building a NS bike with a few old school styling cues and attending a few ramp sessions.
So any suggestions be it OS or NS, I want something but Im not sure what!?!?! ::) :daumenhoch:

wait until you know what you want to do Rob, dont rush into it mate you will just regret it.

so that's why you want to use a boris bike on the london ride ::)
thought you were after one of those honest bike NS DP frames anyway?
-
Was tempted by the honest dp griff but if Neil Park is bringing out a new model I'd sooner wait, anyway a deal has been done and Rads bashguard specialist is getting something bashguard related very soon....

Robbo,
the zen moment has come.
Get a proper newschool bike and start BMX Racing (again).
Here´s the advantages:
- you have a new goal building up a bike (brain food)
- you´re finally slimming down (fitness)
- and therefore you´l have a better sex life (bunga bunga)
Listen to my advice. :D

The trouble with me is that I wont settle for a reasonably priced NS set up and before I know it I'll be into 4 figures which I dont think is a good investment for my limited abilities, NS parts wont hold there money like OS stuff so I'm thinking I'm best sticking to what I know. :daumenhoch:
-
You could build a very good bike for £350 easily.
I know Glen but we all work hard I'm a believer of rewarding myself by getting the best bits I can afford, having a £350 bike wouldnt satisfy me. I'd only end up throwing money on upgrades and before I know it I'd have an expensive bike... :daumenhoch:

Hi Robbo, glad to hear your looking for a new bike.Just thought I would chime in and say that for the money the Sunday Bikes 'Completes' are all but unbeatable. They are fully loaded with Odyssey parts and ironically would cost significantly more to source and build seperately!!.Last year I bought an Aaron Ross 'Watermelon' Pro Limited Edition and I've got to say it's one of my favourite bikes as I think it's cool to merge Old & New BMX together.I would discourage a custom build as I went down that road with my Gen 1 Eastern Grim Reaper,it was a 'weight weanie' project with some of the lightest parts on the market (KHE premiums Odyssey Elementary,Wombolts,Ti Shadow Seatpost, bolts, axles etc etc.......and with the help of the expert building skills of Mr Dan Harris, the experiment worked, two brakes,23 pounds in weight =£1000 to build!!  :-X (awesome bike though!! 8)).
Sunday is well....Funday!!,if not have a look at the We The Peoples' as you can't go wrong with German engineering!.
Regards Nick.

Get a Condor Rob :daumenhoch:
-
New school :daumenhoch:
-
Get a Hoffman Bigdaddy :daumenhoch:
-
Riding bikes isn't about resale value, its about the enjoyment of riding a bike.
good statement.
rather anti-RAD. ;D
-
but seriously, a newschool bike is for the fun of riding and thrashing it. if you rode it a season it´s maybe worth a tenth of it´s og price.
it´s a totally different experiene, Robby. Feel free and just do it. With no regrets.
Thrash the bike and have fun!!! :D
-
Get a Condor Rob :daumenhoch:
I have access to one but I'm not 100% if that would be the new school route I want to go. :daumenhoch:
-
He's always wanted a trickstar.. ;)

I think I'm over that one mate, the parts are over priced to build one proper spec. :daumenhoch:

Me thinks Robbo´s on the NS side now.

-
bendy has a nice gt for sale on ebay !! :P
-
I won't be building anything from the GT stable after my PFT is finished... Parts for them are like rocking horse poop! And cost a fair bit of wedge as well.
-
NS looking like OS eh? Imagine that as an idea - wouldn't catch me on a new bike that looked old....... >:D

anyone selling to robbo thinking he'll 'keep it OG' is probably going to be upset
on the plus side values of the remaining originals will go up once it's stripped down :daumenhoch:

Hi Paul, I'll be going back to the OG finish. Just a shame its my normal colour scheme as I fancied something different. :daumenhoch:
