It used to be nitromors - but that stuff would shift dust now  ::)

you can try some nitromors and see or ask any old boys have got the good old stuff in there sheds they wanna sell you ?

sanding is a bitch

the stuff Superbike Dan uses might work or it might melt them ? (you will have to ask him again, what it is as i can't remember)

that's as much a i know  ;)

just take it easy with the stuff (old best) - just do small patches and wash off

plastic mags will melt - skyways seem to get away with it but don't completely cover them and walk away like you would do a frame

kids and pets out the way - glove and watch eyes as it can flick up so easy  :buck2:

and just take your time on them (especially with the new stuff )

cheers B  ;)

Got the paint stripper out earlier, gave it a good go ,then washed it off and had a go with the brillo pads...... (http://i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc515/hmoon27/yellowtuff003.jpg)

As you can see , the freewheel side has come out better than the other. The other had been painted green then black :wtf:Gonna strip the hub and freewheel and lob it in the dishwasher tommorow night after er' indoors has hit the sack :LolLolLolLol:, hopefully this will get some more grime out. Then ill try and sand it a bit to get the rough bits out.
Then the dye? What'd you reckon will it dye yellow again or
will it need another colour

Can't see that shifting,i would try a bit of cellulose thinners on a small area and give it a rub.

Media blasting might get it back to yellow,or if you dont want to go that route i would dye them black :daumenhoch:

Cheers Spen  :daumenhoch: I've looked locally but cant find anyone. Barnsley is a bit of a trek for me , it'd cost so much in fuel it would be cheaper to get another wheel! Cheers anyway mate :daumenhoch:
