I am feeling a little inferior only having one old school bike. I love it when someone is selling something and purposely puts their collection lined up in the background!
So i am now giving you a platform to show us what youve got. Come on who's got the biggest?
-
It's quality NOT quantity. :daumenhoch:
-
Thats what i keep telling the wife!
She also said if sex was a race i should be representing the uk at the 2012 olympics!

Totally agree :daumenhoch: Any serious collector will have amazing bikes and a great depth of knowledge to back the bikes up not just buy any and every bike that pops up for sale.
where's kappy?.. :LolLolLolLol:
I'll raise you a Gashead ;)
all day long, 8)
I've got a couple of friends who are not on here that have well over 200 bikes and all are amazing.

Did that have anything to do with Hunterdubbers pic of me he posted in the "Hutch" thread
-
There are some seriously nice collections in the UK, that have been put together over a number of years, trawling the world for parts and restoring and rebuilding.
And those collections kind of speak for themselves when you seen them, the passion, commitment and knowledge is obvious.
There are also quite a few 'collections' out there that prove one theory...
'Plenty of Money, Zero Idea...' :daumenhoch:

I know, can you imagine collecting Burners? :LolLolLolLol:

Collections do not have to be big to be awsome, Carl and his Robbo's, Davebeard and his Raleighs, Ash and his SE stuff, John Bobba and his Geese, Costas GT's, Doms Haros, Nickgashead and his Curtis bikes, Steve animal and his March collection and lots not forget Phil sawzall and his amazing :Great_Britain: collection.
It's not just bikes though is it, the guys above have clothing and shed loads of brochures and other detailed paperwork to suit. They have knowledge and their bikes are built with this in mind.
It really is not about who has the most bikes has the biggest dick. If this was the case then Mr Gashead should be a porn star.
Me....... i ain't got much in total but what i do have...... you don't have and nor does your mate or his mate. ^"^ ^"^
-
ive almost got 3 :LolLolLolLol:
-
I've got lots of boxes of stuff :LolLolLolLol:
-
I get my TA back from SBD on Saturday, I am then seriously considering building up a Burner GS........................ I know its not bike porn but i had one BITD................ I am lying about only having one os bike i do also have a puch which i thought was the same as a puch murray which was my first BMX. I got this bike from an American kid in 1980 before we really knew what bmx's were. I added loads of crap from the local shop taking off the box bars and replacing with v's etc etc. ruined it basically. The puch i bought later was nothing like it, proper crap. My eldest keeps it at grandmas so he has a bike when hes there. Boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Agree Andy :daumenhoch:
Got to add Nath (macmania) to that list ...... he probably has the biggest MT Racing collection in the world 8) Might not be everyones cup of tea but his dedication to the brand and his knowledge is admirable . It also one hell of a good looking collection in the flesh .
Me .............. I just collect turds and polish them :D

Getting dozens of bikes that mean nothing doesn't interest me in the slightest. My stable is small in comparison with some (10) but all mean something to me.
First BMX
First REAL BMX
What I saw as the best BMX as a kid and could never afford
New school rider for the ramps
and a couple of mid school bikes I drool over
:daumenhoch:

You've got the first REAL BMX, which one ? lets see :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

My collection is relatively small now (16 completes) But each one I have spent time getting and putting together the way I want :daumenhoch: I don't buy bikes that other people have put together :yahoo_silent:
I love the knowledge of bmx and continue to learn all the time :)
I'll echo what's been said here as it's not the one with the biggest collection has the biggest dick or makes them Rad #1 It about the Quality of the collection that that honour goes too :daumenhoch:
I would rather have 10 stunning bikes than have 50 oddments :)

How long had Juan been into the hobby till he amassed that much stuff.Ash ,,it really was phenomenal
He got his lot over a relatively short period , didn't he ? ???
Is it all spread out ,,or has anyone ended up with a good chunk of it ?
I remember his ebay listings going on for a few months , but he must have sold most by Museum and pm's ::)

Most of it went to guess who...yup Mr H ::) I think he had 1st dib dobs on pretty much everything, I know a guy in Thailand got 7 or 8 of his NOS Rippers and the rest went to Jeff.
Yeah he got most of it in a relative short space and opened up his museum, mind you he did pay good money for most of it and don't believe everything you hear when he says it's ALL gone and some say theres more stuff heading to the UK ;) ^"^

Thats just it pal, most did'nt realise exactly how big his collection was as not everything was shown and not that many people have seen all of Jeff's goodies, if anyone  Jeff's is not only the biggest but probably the most significant collection.
-
i bet most have sean some pics or the u tube vid of Juans collection. so would anyone like to try and put a price on what it may have been worth at its peek?
