Title: Seat rail removal
Post by: Moza on June 03, 2012, 12:19 PM
If removed will it go back in ???? ive taken one out years ago but I couldnt get it back in, im restoring a rough rusty Kashi aero and the rails are very rusty. Im thinking I might remove the rust then cover the rails in chrome foil tape cut to shape :daumenhoch: I know a good product to spray the seat with its for car bumpers.

The work of the devil - seat rails.

Depends on the seat but don't expect it to be easy.

I have had seats tear off the rails before, but fook knows how to get them back in.
It's like they are spring loaded or something?  Or the seat was molded around the rails?

Must admit when i done seat rails in the past it was a bit of a two man operation,

holding, flexing and pushing it back together  ::) but can be done.
