Funnily enough i'm just about to order some gold from the same people. I planned on polishing one half and steel wooling the other half of a piece of metal as a trial to see which would give a more convincing finish. I also discovered tamiya do a spray model paint with an anodized finish although it is designed for plastics. :-\

right quick update for u all..
finished of my brake resto..the metalcast paint seems to work better on a wirewool finish..it does scrape of if you scratch with something..so done a few laquer tests and found that halfords own brand laquer works the best with metalcast anno spray..the finish is excellent im well happy.
