What parts are you planning,

Would like to see one with graphite tuffs, or graphite z's with gold hutch hubs  :coolsmiley:

Wow!!  I have seen these in here before but they do look pretty sexy..

Is it real gold used for the plating?

Dare we ask how much it cost?  Did you get it imported from that fella in the US??

Looking forward to this build..

Paul

If you are doing another one it needs to be an exact replica of Woody's .. i don't really see the point otherwise.  looks like thats what you may want to do judging by the decals but you need the suntour roller cam mounts on the forks which i'm guessing aint going to happen now you have it plated?

Still haven't seen anyone get it 100% right .. good luck

Gold plated bikes are not really my thing but can appreciate the quality of the finish etc, for me there will always only be 1 gold bike and that's Woody's plus he rode it. Good luck with the build though fella  :daumenhoch:

too much excess. not a new concept either!  hutch dosnt need to be gold plated! now a gold plated gt ! that would be cool!  :LolLolLolLol:

glen would do a double backflip on your trickstar and bring it back snapped!  :LolLolLolLol:

Thanks guys for you positive feedback? Good old UK, so much hate.

Unfortunately to do a exact woody replica would cost a bit too much for me, that's why I have done my version. Yes there can only be one gold Trick Star  like his, but that will never be for sale.

As you are not gold fans I suppose you will not be interested in my other gold plated Trick Star and pedals I'm selling..

the uk ?? hmm. read many youtube comments that are US based ?
see some pretty raw shit on the museum to !!  ::)

This is a complete new bike/build.

ahh so it is - remember the black and gold ones you had in a previous thread
mate do what you like - not everyone will like them (and maybe not something you can take to the skate park  ;D) but if you do then that's what counts

I heard of one guy who painted one of those bright orange and put disc brakes on another - he is mental though  ;)

If it was me doing a Gold Plated Trickstar then I would go all out and do it it a spot on replica but having said that, everyone should build a bike exactly how THEY want it.
Good luck mate

Not a fan of gold or Trick Stars but that has definitely changed my mind.  :4_17_5:

You have to tighten that chain up though, tis a shame to see it like that.
Title: Re: Hutch Trick Star 24K Gold Plated USA 1985
Post by: you-loze on August 09, 2012, 10:34 PM
Yes, I know the chain is slack..

why don't you fix it up then? surely tightening the chain is easier and cheaper than going to the gold platers...
