Alright, time to start cleaning/polishing small parts. I think the chrome is too far beyond repair as you'll see, I havnt tried the coke/foil trick yet, do you think I'll have to strip and polish, can you strip chrome or just sand out!?.(http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q481/lukethespookcoop/4feef5a9.jpg)
Next up bottom bracket, I put them in an acid bath last week, do I dust leave them greyish and clean with autosol and wire wool or will I get those to shine too?.(http://i1160.photobucket.com/albums/q481/lukethespookcoop/a491c07a.jpg)
Appreciate any feed back do I'm not wasting my time polishing when they won't shine !. Thanks.

You're wasting your time, they wont shine. Chrome needs to be stripped at a chromers, they reverse the system to do it.
They're only headset and BB cups. Personally i'd buy new. There are completes on the bay or ask on here in the wanted thread, someone may be able to help although you may need a site supporter tag to post in wanted now, i'm not sure.
