i'd never trust wankstanleys, no matter how much of a deal they put on...
-
Sent back already, was gonna have a refund but thought i might need em for another build ::)Other pair will probably go on the Shaman :daumenhoch:Had loads of stuff from there its the first order that was wrong.I guess i've been lucky!!
-
sorry guys, hopefully they will sort it out quick for you, sounds like someone who has worked there in the past may have swiped the axle!
-
What did they say about this mess?
They said sorry and asked whos name was on the invoice, and offered refund or replacement.
-
These idiots never change. They now have a Facebook page & offer lots of excuses & delete any questions as to why they fook up so many orders >:(
-
Fcuk w@nkstanleys :2gunsfiring_v1:

Ive yet to have to return an order from them. I did once order a frame they were showing as in stock to be emailed and refunded later telling me it was not in stock. Everything else has been perfect
Same here they've always got my stuff spot on :daumenhoch:
-
Gary Glitter says he will never , ever......ever, touch a minor again.
That's ok then
-
Well , ParcelForce collected the crankset today . Winstanleys say they will refund me when they get them back . We will see .

Got plenty sprocket bolts and crank bolts if anyone needs any :D

Mine arrived yesterday as well all good I got a chrome set well nearly.
They sent me a hop up kit instead of a bottom bracket kit/set same as this one
http://www.winstanleysbmx.com/product/52049/Profile_HopUp_Kit_Ex_Display
I just rang them and they said the kit above is missing the axle spacer tube otherwise it's the same as the bottom bracket kit below
http://www.winstanleysbmx.com/product/24110/Profile_USA_Bottom_Bracket_Kit
Is this right :-\
He also said I mght need to use a smaller spacer washer to add to the tube make sure it is flush against the cups inside the BB, I thought american BB's where all the same dimensions :-\

The hop-up kits a bit nicer than the standard BB set - you get flush bolts and them nice machined external spacers. US BB's widths vary from frame to frame, so yeah, you might need to use one of the thin spacers to make sure the axle spacer touches both bearings.
Someone scanned the Profile install guide over at the museum - you need the non-drive side cup to 'stick out' a couple of mm:

Cheers Danny, couldn't find instructions on the profile site for american BB installation.
This kit didn't come with any bolts though :-\

That's a pain (and typical of old W@nkstanleys) - this is what you should get in a hop-up kit:

Cheers again, I've just checked and the bolts where on the spindle, which is strange because the box was still sealed by Profile when I got it.
Phew, looks like just one wee bollox up then which doesn't really bother me.
BTW there is still a set of black one's left, I wanted a set I'd still go for it because as the parts are available if any of them are wrong.
