Title: Anaconda BMX = POS - mongoose replacement - update 16/12
Post by: Rodgy1970 on July 02, 2012, 02:09 PM
The wee fella down the road got this POS for Christmas, he tries to ride it like a proper BMX, he's pretty good on a bike but keeps breaking it because it's a total POS.

Everything about this bike is pure crap, the quailty of materials used is appalling it's the worst I've ever come across.

I am fixing up an old mongoose pro for him and I need a couple bits to get it on the road, namely a u-brake and a couple of generic alloy wheels, if you have some you were gonna chuck in the skip give me a shout.

Unfortunately there's no cash available only good karma.

Nearly ready to build but could be really be doing with a rear wheel.

Decided to tidy the replacement up a bit so, wirewheel, kurust and rattle can paint job.

Bike finished or so I thought to hand to hand over last w/e, unfortunately this chain was goosed you can actually see it sitting up on the sprocket, chain reaction cycles to the rescue.

Handed over earlier and he's well chuffed.

Massive thanks to Araya for wheels, grips & gyro and to Wini for the U brakes and to those who offered or had a look for parts.

Gets a hard life but seems to be coping pretty well, still going a few punctures and other running repairs later.
