skyway will win as it was the best marketed name in bmx
-
Mine would be Redline or Torker..............what about you?
-
Best 'out of the box' bike from bitd is either Mongoose Pro Class or Diamond Back Leary Turbo.
Apart from that any of the good make frames were pretty similar in quality it was all about the parts you hung on them.
-
Has to be the Redline Proline 2, I broke supergooses, race incs, diamond backs, and only managed to break the redlines forks, they are the most stable at speed and handle so well, maybe just one exception, the Skyway TA I had a ride on today was blinding, may have to look out for one of them :coolsmiley:

For those small guys, it has to be the JMC Micro Mini, talk about trick, I have mine down to about 13lbs in weight, not bad for a bike thats over 20 years old !!!!

Absolutely no question as number 1 (we are talking RACE bikes) .
:4_17_5: GT Pro 83/84/maybe even 85 . ( I had an 83 , Faze 7 Custom build from Joe Burlo)
More people rode these bikes early on before being sponsored , subject end lol .
Others for me were Redline PL20 , VDC Gorilla 24" .
Me :LolLolLolLol:

Think they used the Tapered leg Redline forks from the later series 3 with the TA frame... in Army green, nice.

when i used to live in southampton me and my mate went to see some racing ,,
there was your usual bikes like ,,redline,,mongoose etc
but 1 stood out that i have not seen for ages,,even on here
they were called ,,NISHIKI,,
anyone heard or seen any
cheers russ :daumenhoch:
-
skyway ta
-
Patterson XL - fantastic race bike, low slung, long and fast :daumenhoch:
-
Well it depends on your age, but for sure JMC had the best overall range of f&f for every size of rider,
For example, if you were age about 10, you could not get much better than this
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/v661/JON016847/XLB.jpg)
And if you were say 12, then this would take some beating
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/v661/JON016847/3.jpg)
Infact there is a frame and fork set for every age / size rider,
JMC rocks, !!
-
What is it with all u TA lovers !!! man there undercover burners get real !! ... jmc rules the race roost ..fact !! :4_17_5:

Of course
Thats a sweet pitbike m8... I remember the (wealthier)mates having these alongside their regular bikes. One had a GT similar to that one. Another had a CW pit bike and Daz had a VDC pit bike... He is still trying to remember who he sold it to so he can go and re-buy it :D
-
Skyway T/A was a fantastic frame and fork, supergoose,GT Pro,DB Turbo ,Laser lite was marketed as the true leader but never felt as stable as a goose, hey the Pro burner was pretty good if you could live with that whippy front end......!!! did i really just say that...!!!!!
-
For me, I would say the KZ-1 with its amazing frame design and geometry. Just perfect
-
i turned down a jmc for a hand built for me personally - Whitehawk, all brazed similar to MRD, only about 40 produced, if anyones got a pro for sale, let me know
(http://www.energyflashrecords.co.uk/images/whitehawk.JPG)
-
proclass as long as your not gonna do anything but race it or a ta or a supergoose (great all rounder like the ta), dont forget the aero pro under rated bike om my opinion kuwi as well cant speak for any of thr patterson / jmc hens teeth types highly rated but ive never seen one let alone rid one( rid is that a word)
