I'm looking to get a new pair of boots for my bike, used to running tanwalls, but like the look of new school whitewalls. So i run 2.125 up front and 2.0 at the rear, so whats the tyres of choice these days, will be used for street/ramp, I like a more agressive tread on the front incase of some dirt ;) :LolLolLolLol:
-
I'm a tight arse and cant ride for shlt so i run chas and daves, but the fit fafs are where all the cool kids are at right now

I'm usually the same mate, I have the Odyssey Aitken skinwall on the front which is a nice tyre, got the Dave on the rear but its bare and got chunks out of it in only 3 months use. I made a few quid on the bay clearing out my tat, so looking to spend upto £60 a pair.
-
you could try the oddy aaron ross keyboard tyres, they are uber cool aprarently, I have the grips in red and they leave a keyboard pattern on my hands!!
-
Gone for a pair of FIT FAFS tanwalls 2.25 front 2.1 rear, ohhh new boots :smitten:
-
exposure ones are ok ....do slide a bit , i've got illegal on one bike and eclat control on the other ..both are good , come in white and tan walls and are good value :daumenhoch:
-
Primo V monsters :daumenhoch:
-
See how i get on with these, they are nice and fast at 100 psi
Both are .1 larger than my last pair, but the difference is minuscule.

-
The new United tires are really nice. I might try a set of them next
-
United tyres are lush, one of the bender boys has had a set from 4down for a few months and there still going strong

I've been running Tioga PowerBlock 2.1's for over a year now
light and sticky as fck for Wood, Concrete, Dirt and Grindless Street.
PoweerBlock 2.1 = 390g
Most tyres = Approx 630g
save a full pound on your spinning weight for 2 x £14.99. job's a good 'un.

Need a new set of tyres , are the powerblocks really up to concrete/ramp ? would think they would wear really quickly and with the thin sidewalls...
was looking @ chas/daves but thats 'cause i do follow the crowd ;D
anyone comment on the maxxi grifters ? 110psi 1.85 375g/ 2.10 440g and cheap as chips from chainreactions , could do with advice !

i wouldn't scrimp too much on the rubber choice, they're one of the main thing stopping you slipping and slamming hard.
I'd look at spending about £20 each, take your pick from any of the big brands (tried and tested) skin wall or black depending on what you think looks best :daumenhoch:

what are you using on your rider streetbeat ?
-
well........the tyres on my Beat rider (which i only cruise about on) are 90's KHE Lamellos. But on my knight bike NS rider i use Primo V monsters :daumenhoch:
-
ok V monsters it is , but if i fall off and bruise myself i will have to sue you ;D
-
Khe all the way, wish I could afford them:(
-
I have a KHE Dirt upfront and a KHE MAC 2 at the back ,
Looks , lightweight and quality :4_17_5:
Black walls , of course :daumenhoch: :smitten:

Has the tiki gone?
-
had khe kevlar beaded, fit faf kevlar beaded, tan wall primo v monsters and now wire beaded fit fafs
khe's were good but too expensive really
fit fafs kevlar beaded were good too and cheaper than the khe's
primo v monsters were good as long as you dont go over 65psi as the sidewall begin to bulge
fit faf wire beaded are good, nice compromise between cost and weight and will prob buy them again :daumenhoch:
-
ah foook all of these i have tried most of the big names and they are just about the same..... pooop......dont notice much diffrence...........its all about the labels
I have beeen running these for a while but be warned they are fast..............If your running no brakes they may kill you ;D
I also have them on my Mtb take 60psi no probs............and i can go on any terrain with them no problems

Who put that thing together? Stevie Wonder?
Now hoping it's no one's on ere :LolLolLolLol:
-
A bit of sick just came up when I saw that Trickstar Dubster.
I run my tanwall Primo V-Monsters at 70PSI and love them. Got a 2.1 on the front and 1.95" on the rear and they never scare me on timber.
Just don't go too cheap or a work of pain awaits you....... ;-(
-
Demolition Momentum & Machete tyres are good & around £20 each :daumenhoch:
-
ive just bought some duo stunners for my new dirt bike they get good reviews 2.20 front and back for me

Scrub em in if you're gonna be riding indoor parks, they offer fook all grip on wood when new >:D
I tried em and didn't like em :-\
-
they have not sent them yet so i could swap em. i couldnt make my mind up between stunners, fit faf 2.25 or odyssey aitkens
now you just got me stumped again :-\
-
FAF's would be better :daumenhoch:
-
ended up getting duo stunner for rear and faf 2.25 for front, seems nice so far, to be honest i am well impressed with the stunner on the rear. early days.... no difference in size though one is 2.20 and one 2.25 both are 52mm
-
I swapped my usual PowerBlocks for Blackwall 2.2 Duo Stunners a couple of months ago
And have been well impressed with 'em so far.
They weigh about 160 grams each more than 2.1 PowerBlocks which ain't to bad.
Too heavy tyres can make your bike feel weird, thats why my Tanwall Oddy Paths didnt last long.

Your oddy paths are on my bike ya cheeky toot ... they are perfect ... just the right size ... can't stand these balloon ass motorbike tyres that kids and wannabee kids wanna run these days.
The Odyssey Frequency G tyres are nice too ... same tread as the ol' RL Edge tyres that were around in the late 80s / early 90s :)
