Title: Thinking of changing the cars reg number ,but what car ?

i have a few car registrations on retention which costs every year to leave on paper.
my bmw has one on already which suites the car but the audi avants a run about for
anthing.
what would you do ?
stick one on the audi orsell them

i biker cop pulled me for having my letters 5mm too close to one another between the end of the numbers and the start of the letters, said i could be preventing anyone from reading the plate properly....   :uglystupid2:   i must of been the talk of the canteen back at the police stn that afternoon when he issued me with a £30 fine....  twat!

bang on all that now the old bill.

constantly seeing the plate brigade being pulled and then a week later having them correcrtly spaced etc.

my legal plates are behind just i case,had the m5 done 5 years and never pulled.
mind you its quiet police wise where i live.

Keep it on retention its only £25 a year! if you put it on a motor 1 the motor has to be proper straight when you take it off (tax,mot,insured)
if it's on retention you just stick in the new motors mot and tax just to have the new plate put on doc's,
i had my plate on retention for 5 yrs (KEV180Y) and recently put it on my new car......if i had taken it off the subaru i would have had to spent a fortune getting i through an mot.
Also its worth more on paper than a car if you decide to flog it. :Great_Britain:
