Title: New skate park in my town centre!
Post by: pickle on July 28, 2012, 11:01 AM: Over the past 6 months or so I have been emailing my local council about the possibility of a small skate park for the local kids........well the other week I got a few replys saying that they have put a proposal together and they are doing a public event this afternoon in my town centre, showing the plans and the proposed site so they can get the views of the local people.

Can't wait to go and have a look! It will only be a small metal park but it'll be on my doorstep and anything is better than nothing :daumenhoch:

I have made contact with the charity involved and it turns out the guy is a member on here (Stevenage kid) and I grew up in the same area as him. Hope to get involved as much as I can.......if they need any help that is?

But really good that the council have listened to local kids and are doing something about it :4_17_5:

Get involved as much as you can to keep them right and push them on, councils often start off with the best of intentions but have a habit of fooking things up and dragging things out.

Been looking at the designs on their Facebook group and it's concrete :daumenhoch:

Hey I can't take any credit for this..........it's been planned and designed for a while, but if I can help them locally to get some backing then I will do as much as I can :daumenhoch:
