A BMX friend of mine has written a cool BMX game. He got loads of input from some of the UKs top riders and its ended up a really play-able little app.

It only went on sale today but he said it's doing so well that he might do an Android version. That'd be good cos then I could play it too.

I'm finding it quite difficult! :'(

Aaargh, Wife and kids are away with the ipod and iphone. Will make one of them buy it when they get back. Can you download it to a mac computer?
I know I sound stupid but I'm a bit of a technophobe.

Looks great. Now downloading it to my iPhone. :daumenhoch:

£1.50  why so expensive? Most games like this are 69p.
I've stop buying these game apps, I never play them anymore. Got about 80 games of which 6 are on my phone. I play none of them. :-[

5 years ago, people thought nothing of spending £45 on a console game and playing it for a few hours before they were bored, but now
the mobile generation expect the same standard of game for free and then don't want to pay for in-game stuff or put up with ads etc....
As an indie developer, we have had to move into this market, but it's a hard nut to crack....Only recently I heard about a developer that
released as app that cost £250K to develop.....It made £8K
I guess the reason he released it at £1.50 is that he has costs too recoup and based on projected downloads, that what it needs to sell at....
The flip side is that the price will put a lot of people off....
:idiot2:

Bought this game last night and its actually quite difficult. I can appreciate they want to to be quite close to BMX in terms of the movements etc, so as a BMX rider I enjoy the challenge. But to be honest I do think the sensitivity and precision needed in this game will put off some non BMX types who just want a fun game to play. As for price I think £1.50 is a fair price.

don't get me wrong, the market for quick easy games is brutal. you pay 69p you play it a bit, you throw it away, you get another. only a very very small few stick and really succeed. costs to recoup is one thing, having something for sale for £2,50 in the pound shop isn't always helpful. they were 59p then 69p, they're disposable games. is it better to sell 10 at £100 or 1000 at £10 :-\
it will be kids that buy it anyhow.
