The original owner of this bike, a US member on the Museum, offered it to me around a year ago, as I get on with him very well and just loved the idea of having a Raleigh Freestyler.
Sadly, I couldn't at the time due to other builds I had going on so this seller had second dib dobs on it. A lovely, all original bike from Raleigh.
PS:- this guy states he grabbed the original grips but he never. The original owner did :daumenhoch:

I'm loving all this Raleigh shock stuff. We're they available over here back in the day? I don't remember them at all.
Has anyone got any adverts or catalogues with them in?
-
It appears that they had 4 models ranging from 1986 - 1988. Again, I am guessing as it's Raleigh, that all four models were in different spec ranges, I could be wrong.
They had The Shock, The Electro Shock, The Mag Shock and The Ultra Shock.
All info here, just use the drop down box for different models >>>> http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/raleigh/
-
Okay. It appears that they were aimed purely at the US market and the Shock was White and Blue, the Ultra Shock was White and Pink, the Electro Shock was White and Black and the Mag Shock was White and Red.
I think Hiro Tonka's one is the rarest of them all being Chrome and White :smitten:
If only I could get my hands on this gem ::)

I bought it from Ebay UK, so someone must have got it from the Museum and imported it. Was it owned by anyone on here before me?

I wouldn't mind reading what's in those pages either, if the content has anything between 84/88.
