Just bought a NOS (not that old really) GT Mach 1 from 2000, I know its a POS but, I fancy doing to it what we all did BITD, build it up with a selection of bits, I want 1 3/8 wheels, only because  I never had any, I'd like ally cranks, but with no budget, we'll see...

Forks are the first hurdle, what was about then for race bikes? Stiletto's???

Will new Shimano cranks run on a USA BB? I thought you needed euro / external BB's to run the new stuff? It will be interesting to see how the new super stiff cranks and wheels feel on a older frame, especially with a 1"fork and stem.

Not sure how much Tioga Powerblocks are but Alienation Graffiti tyres are one of the lightest steel beaded tyres and can often be had for pretty good money.

If you want to go really light then kevlar beaded tyres are the way to go but normally the price goes up as well.

Just thought, I have a very light set of wheels if they would be of interest?

If you are going to MK then I can bring them with me for you to check out, I also have a BNIB mini V brake.

POWERBLOCKS ARE USUALLY AROUND 17.00 PER TYRE ISH
they really are the best tyres ive used followed closely by maxi dth tyres.they are great for track and skatepark alike
