With the information I have gathered so far, these are 2 of only 7 known to collectors. Both have different Fork and Geometry. Both are the original finish and survivors :daumenhoch:

They're lovely. Where did you unearth them? 8) :daumenhoch:
Forks look a bit like Tange TX Super Forks from a Kuwahara KE-1
I'm sure there's another bike with similar drop-out but can't think what.

-
Lovely Bikes. :smitten:
-
Fantastic! great job! :4_17_5:
-
Thanks guys.
I have been advised, due to no serial numbers ever being stamped on these, that they were made between 1983 - 1985, when they went on to designed a new frameset. Other than that, both have completely different geometry but stay looking the same. The one with the red decals is also braised I think, where the other is Tig welded. And I can't believe how light they are.
I was also advised that they are a 'fast' ride due to the head tube angle but I will let you know on that :D
-
look very MCS like
-
both look stunning terry :smitten:
-
Didn't think i would see ONE of these in the UK

-
Remember the ads from bitd , they look very cool ;) . Good work :daumenhoch:
-
Seems the 'rear ends' are doin' it for everyone on here!!!! ;) :daumenhoch:
-
Thanks guys. Getting them on the Museum has proved a bit of a success as a couple of guys have come forward with some info. One in particular is the sole owner of an A.I.R frame, signed by the man himself and one of only ten ever made. He has shown me some emails between himself and Tim with info on these Frame sets.
There were only 200 made, 100 in chrome and 100 in black. The frame set builder went bankrupt and legged it when the tubing came in for the A.I.R resulting in only the ten being made.
Great stuff ;)
-
Even better!!!!!!! :daumenhoch: So can I ask how you came about them? ::)
-
