So many amazing bikes together - truely an amazing sight
The 1975 Kawasaki was incredible :D
It was also great to see so many people riding their bikes - need to hire a van next year and bring some riders. I saw someones kid having fun on a Gen 1 Haro - man was I jealous :smitten:
Met loadsa top people - well done chaps!!

That Zeronine was absolutely awesome! Well deserved bike of the show. :4_17_5:

-
I got a third in retro for my knight goose, which I was well pleased with.........but I was speechless to see a second place for my old green beat  the bikes were amazing as always and the display tents were out of this world!
The work you guys put in to show your bikes and the standard of them blows me away every time! It's the little details that set them apart.

I have all the reg numbers and so on so I will have a look and post up all the details later :daumenhoch:

Be good for people to see who came 2nd and 3rd in each catergory. :daumenhoch:
-
Huge thanks go out to the judges, it's a thankless task and I just don't know how you guys manage to look at all the great bikes and pick out just a few.
Top work guys and many thanks :daumenhoch:

Yep I was blown away with 3rd in Old School Freestyle for my white Master, very pleased with that :daumenhoch:
-
I'm not promising anything though as it may well of been cleaned out :-\
But I did see the clip board when I got all my bits out of the car yesterday :daumenhoch:
-
Gotta say a big thanks to the judges for voting my Peregrine CLP best mid school freestyler. Was totally chuffed to bits, and it made the countless hours of scouring the eBay and BMX forum world worthwhile. I was happy just to be in such company, but it really toppped off an already amazing weekend for me.
Still fooked though! ;D
-
I'm not into mid school at all but your bike was seriously awsome Mark :4_17_5: what a fookin great build that was.
I was very happy coming 2nd in the vintage class with my STR-1 to Phils side hack :4_17_5:

Andy that was so well deserved.

-
Well Done Andy! 8) happy for you dude!
Shame I could not come. Me and the missus spent the weekend digging up our front garden, getting rid of deep rooted bushes and all the turf. Bloody hot and back breaking. Many times I stood back and thought I wish I'd gone to this MK thing. ::)
-
the effort everyone went to on the show bikes was absolutely amazing
the level has gone up and up,i do miss radmans big ass collection of utter blingers but now they are all but gone
the next generation has come along in a fantastic way.
alot might have gotten a bit miffed by not winning but i will tell you man alive its hard to desiffer great from the greater
its an opinion that makes one win over another sometimes on others its effort and attention to detail against cash is king.
i am proud of every last one in the show.
who ever had the PINK trickstar with pink zeds was a little bit of old me, so cheers who built that ,my best old mate rode for hutch
and in that very livery.
i might enter one year to see what all the fuss was about :)
H
EDITED it was a pink trickstar ,pink zeds with white hubs mmmm
-
I entered only 5 bikes into the S n S,
Pink Woody Trickstar - Medal
Red & White Trickstar

Actually there were no Moderators judging, I was judging but I am Admin (just being pedantic).
The judges were me, Diesel, Kungfunky and Beard1973 and when we came to a tent containing our bikes the person who's bikes we were looking at walked away and stayed away until the other 3 moved on.
Also when the overall judging of the bikes were decided, again if one of us was in contention then we walked away and left the decision to the other 3. In the Vintage race section, both Ash and I had bikes in contention for the trophies and we asked Waxintaxin to judge in our place.
-
i was totally stoked at getting 2nd in New School Retro with my grey Kappa ...espically when the Nightgoose was in the mix..thanks to everyone concerned.

I cannot remember how many medals there were in total, however they went to the bikes that stood out from the crowd - Bikes that in our opinion warranted a nod of appreciation.
That said as exciting as it was to be invited to judge this year - I don't think I every want to do it again.
As I walked around and tried to narrow down all of the really, really great bikes (most of which would have been clear winners in years past) I truly felt bad as I know how much effort went in to each and everyone of them.
I have never seen so many bikes with such attention to detail , so I do hope that those who will inevitably be disappointed still appreciate the quality of their builds as much as we did.
-
LOL Every year the judges never want to do it again.
It is such a hard job and can be as subjective as each judge appreciates the little detail differently.
The bikes this year were stunning and the bar has been raised again. Really amazing to see such differing styles and quality restoration and building workmnship
A few bikes stood out for me this year and they were the unusual and the fine attention to detail.
But my favorite bike this year had a petrol tank and when you sat on it you had to go RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I'm well happy. Entered two bikes and got 1st in new school retro. And 2nd in mid school freestyle. Thanks to all the judges. You have me a very happy man. :daumenhoch: :4_17_5:
