whats the best way to get stickers off? i normally use nail varnish remover but it takes alot of rubbing. i cant be bothered with that, need something that takes that sticky stuff straight off...any ideas?

Adhesive has a low melting point so a hairdryer will loosen them otherwise we use Swan lighter fluid at work (I'm a creative and we mount stuff up a lot)
-
stickers come off easy, its the residue of sticky gunk that it leaves that i need to get off
-
lighter fluid - trust me

right, im hobbling to the shop :)

meths works pretty good for the residual gunk too.

when we had our van sales pitch
we always used to use petrol on a cloth for getting the sticky off the vans when we pulled the lettering off.
it used to just wipe off.

yes as said above petrol or white spirit .hair dryer to get sticker of then the glue snotty job

well fitting and removing stickers was my trade for 14 years.... and the best thing to use is iso alcohol,
which isnt the sort of thing u have in ur kitchen cupboard...however petrol and thinners work well...
but it is always advisable to do a test patch first....

Hi Weston
As said before really, but a couple of other items are quite handy.
I use boiling hot water as this gets most of the gunk off with the stiker. If the sticker is broken or very tight it's best to use a plastic filler spreader (as this does not scratch). Then it's either petrol, thinners, or panel prep depending on the item.
This is how I removed stickers from rare and exspensive vintage and classic cars, when working in the trade, and use the same techique on bikes.
Hope this helps.
