I keep seeing Oddy Barefeet tyres on Mid school builds ... are these really from the mid 90s? I thought they were late 80s ... but what do I know.
I just have a thing about them as I was running a set when I broke my collar bone :daumenhoch: but I still don't like them ... kinda like those Vans brake blocks :crazy2:

They were around 87/88 time. You are right about them being complete and utter shite!
I wouldn't use them on anything. :daumenhoch:
-
i don't think they're that bad for looks, would never fooking ride them though as they're proper gash for that!
-
even though they came out in 87 they were still available from shops in 93 & 94

That doesn't surprise me. They didn't sell that well.
My tyre of choice in that era was acs rl edge. Bloody awesome tyre. But this is only my opinion. :daumenhoch:
It's a shame you don't see these come up that often. >:D

Haha, I didnt take it that way. :daumenhoch: I actually asked the same question when looking for mid tyres for my builds. After 96 everything pretty much went Primo. Pre 95 your choice is Peregrine, Barefeet, Haro, or GT. There were a few others but those were the main brands. Now days barefeet are the cheapest of the early 90's tyres.

That's my for sale thread fooked then! :LolLolLolLol:

Used to really like them but after seeing a couple of them split on the last few rides has put me right off.
-
I remember seeing them in a 92 or 93 BMX Plus tire shootout article.

;D They are slippery fookers to be fair! Look nice but I won't ride properly on em. And when I say 'properly', I mean poorly ;)

I'd love a pair of those Stu... or some of those Prolite ones that came out in 93.
I'm going with my Primo V Monsters for now :4_17_5:
