Title: Building up a mid school frame with new school bits?
Post by: losidan on September 16, 2012, 09:41 PM
Hi chaps. Is it possible to build up a mis school mongoose frame (93/94) with new school bits. Especially the bb and cranks? I have the headset and stem sorted. I need these bits, also bars and wheels and thought buying a cheapo off pinkbike to transfer bits over was the best option.

Cheers ahead

you can do anything but a tad restricted on rear hub/sprocket size ,i built a few with modern parts. 32 front was the best fit
for mine

you can still run 1 1/8 forks in your frame aswell. ie to get away from the quill stem.
