Title: GT frame I.D
Post by: TIMMO1966 on September 23, 2012, 10:54 AM
I bought this a few months ago but have no idea what model it is or what year as the serial number is wierd,it is S7EY005719 with 1 inch headset and canti brake mounts(i think thats what they are called) on the rear but normal on the front.A piccy of what it should look like is what i need so i know what parts should be on it.

serial number is S7EY005719

S = Factory ID Mark

7 = 1997

E = May

Y = Production Line ID

00 - Unknown

5719 = Bikes Production Number

It's either a 97 Vertigo or Performer. Both came in a similar blue to your frame that year.

If you don't want to run the mags, get a pair of Weinmann Zac2525's with Mohawk hubs.
